Hello and thank you for your interest in becoming a project of the Junior League of Des Moines!
Each year, the Junior League of Des Moines proposes community projects to our membership to implement the following year. I am very excited that your organization has been identified by as a potential community project partner.
Founded in 1926, the Junior League of Des Moines (JLDM) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism and to improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The Junior League of Des Moines is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) which governs 296 Junior Leagues in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Great Britain.
The members of the Junior League of Des Moines have adopted a vision to develop women leaders who create healthy and active communities by focusing on community projects that impact children’s health, hunger, and poverty. Our membership of 180 active members and 600 sustaining members are committed to building healthy communities.
