For more than 25 years this store has been one of Junior League’s biggest fundraisers.  Our well established thrift shop in Des Moines’ East Village has allowed us to bring positive and consistent change to our community through strong revenue.  All the proceeds from the Bargain Basket are reinvested in Des Moines through League’s community outreach programs.  The store carries apparel for men, women and children as well as houseware and seasonal items.  League members donate merchandise and work in the store.

Vendors from around the country gather annually in Des Moines to kick off the holiday shopping season with unique, one-of-a-kind items. Shoppers enjoy food, drinks and entertainment while completing their “wish lists” for the holiday.
