For more than 80 years, Junior League of Des Moines has impacted our community for the better through involvement in well-known projects including the Science Center of Iowa and Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Our membership of more than 650 members has led the way in more than 100 organizations in our community.

We invite you, as a leader in our community, to join with us in one of our signature fund raising annual events. Would you consider making a gift of $100, $500 or $1000?

100 Women / 100 Businesses / 100 Dollars


We’re asking 100 women who own 100 businesses in Central Iowa to donate $100 and join with us as we host our flagship event, Gift Mart on November 17-19 at the Polk County Convention Center in Des Moines. Our annual Gift Mart allows shoppers to have access to one-of-a-kind, unique and specialty items from vendors in our community and around the Midwest. Since 1989, Junior League of Des Moines has kicked off the holiday shopping season with a weekend’s worth of shopping and activities.

Proceeds from Gift Mart go toward funding community projects supported by Junior League of Des Moines. What a great way to support your community and also promote your business with like-minded individuals who work to grow a thriving and productive community in which we live, shop and do business.

With your gift of $100 to support the 2011 Gift Mart, you can expect:
  • Your business logo exposure to an estimated 3,000 local shoppers over the 3-day shopping weekend.
  • Special recognition and access to our 100 Club on Gift Mart Opening Night, November 17. The 100 Club will provide a networking opportunity to meet other women, shop and maybe even check a few things off of your own holiday shopping list.
  • Four complimentary tickets for you and your friends to attend our Gift Mart Opening Night Cocktail Event, November 17. Enjoy cocktails with a shopping preview opportunity.
  • Participate to help us achieve our annual goal in raising $50,000 to directly impact our community. Your gift may be tax deductible.
  • Your sponsorship will ultimately support like-minded women leaders who share a passion for change in our community.
